I transferred back to the U.K. with all of my personal effects. Yes2Ship handled everything superbly.Their team gave excellent advice and told me in advance what documents i should prepare. I was in a real jam, struggling to import something from Japan and I reckon my crate would still be there if I didn’t come across Yes 2 ship. They were very kind, helpful and quick throughout the whole process and made it a very good first experience of dealing with international import. Any questions I had they answered straight away!

A pretty ruthless industry, in the business of catching out first time importers. Make sure you get a full and elaborate quote well ahead of your shipment being shipped from the port of departure so that you get the best deal. That way you’re getting a reasonable quote. If you are caught out, and don’t have a pre-arranged agreement with detailed costs of your ‘service’, you’re in for a shock and will be paying for far more than just customs. Make sure you are ready to pay your own taxes directly to Hmrc. My declared value of goods was 7k usd and I paid 6k usd in fees to get my goods.
