We were apprehensive as we'd heard horror stories about other moving companies for military moves, but we are happy this hasn't been the case. Shea, Bree, Dave, Will and Daniel have been professional, fast and efficient. They have worked with our kids running around and been beyond patient. Thank you guys for making our transition better!

Very professional and friendly with great customer service. Have used them on a number of moves, from complex to quick and the performance is consistently good. In the few instances there has been an issue with damage, they were resolved quickly, completely and hassle free. Highly recommended.

Our experience has been horrible to say the least. Several items have came up missing such as a brand new hammock (still in the box), cooking equipment, clothing, etc. Several components of our household goods arrived that had been taken apart (by someone NOT authorized to do so) and left for us to try to find the pieces and put together ourselves without any instructions. We have a $2000 outdoor storage system that is missing some its hinges, keeping us from securing the doors, rendering it useless. We have a $300 antique cabinet that arrived at our nee house missing all of the shelves in it. My daughter’s Barbie dream house (which was her prized possession that we saved our money to buy for MONTHS) was demolished and irreparable. On the 2nd day of packing, we were told by Anthony that household items were no longer put into crates, yet our items arrived at our new house in crates. This means that our items were not secure and that someone went through our personal items when we were not present, WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION. Since the move, we were told that items are still required to be placed in crates, meaning Anthony lied to us. Items were crammed into boxes and several sentimental items were broken or scratched. I could go on and on and we are documenting and photographing everything. On the last day, after one of the male movers spent an unusually long time in the restroom, and immediately afterwards, the toilet was plugged. A quick plunge of the toilet revealed what the problem was. 2 small ziplock bags, imprinted with black spades floated up. These bags are commonly used for drugs. This also explained the random, powdery residue that appeared on the bathroom countertop. We have small children in our home and had we known someone was using illegal drugs, we would have notified the police. The reason for our move was due to the military giving our family an assignment in Louisiana. It is beyond a shame that this is the type of care and service we received and we will see to it that this company no longer receives contracts from the military. To the management of this company, would YOU be ok with me coming to your house, doing drugs in your bathroom, then proceeding to go through your personal items, disassembling expensive furniture (without having the proper experience or expertise) and excluding the parts you would need to re-assemble the items? This issue is far from over but we will NEVER do business with this company ever again!

You can’t find a more honest, reliable trustworthy and professional moving company. A weak link at times is the available resource pool on either end of the move. Every person involved in this move (Cal to Boise) was trustworthy had good character and treated my assets with respect. Working with Ron and the entire staff alleviated a lot of potential stress. They did what they said they were going to do and they were quite accommodating. Highly recommend them!

Merchants moving delivered some pieces that I ordered from RH. These two guys were outstanding! They far exceeded my expectations from start to finish. As an interior designer I experience a lot of delivery companies and unfortunately 95% of them are terrible and I have to really pay attention that they don’t damage the home or the furniture. These guys were not only polite and professional but they took EXTREME care in unpacking the pieces and re-wrapping them in furniture blankets and shrink wrap to get them into the elevator and up into the condominium. They definitely went above and beyond what most delivery people do. I highly recommend them!

It is clear that Merchants takes great pride in the superb customer service that it provides. We have used Merchants Moving and Storage for all of our moves. I can't say enough about their professionalism, their communication and follow up and most importantly, the care of our furnishings and belongings. The moving crew under Dave was extremely careful and patient with the placement of items in our new home. Moving is stressful so it's so nice to have a great crew you can laugh with during the process! Don't bother going anywhere else for your moving needs.

This was the 7th time my wife and I had moved during our marriage. Most of the moves were less than 15 miles from one place to another but this time we moved from Newark CA to Garden City ID. Before selecting Merchants Moving we spoke with several friends who had done a long distance move and the stories were not encouraging. The best comments were that their mover was OK. Our Real Estate Agent Eva Steinwald recommended Merchants and after interviewing 2 other movers we went with them.
1. Ron and his team were with us every step of the way. If we had a question we quickly had an answer.
2. When the move day arrived I had to drive 3 hours to meet Merchants' at our storage lockers. ( We had to move out of our house quickly so we put everything into storage for 2 months) Merchants' was a few minutes early and just took over. They came well prepared, totally Professional. Our two contacts from Idaho that I worked with Adam and Kevin were the best! After Adam backed the biggest moving van I have ever seen through a small gate and about 100 feet to the back of the storage locker compound I started to relax.
3. Adam and Kevin along with two local Atlas employees got right to work unloading and itemizing everything we owned.
4. I felt completely at ease with the work they were doing and I was able to leave and complete several tasks to finalize our move. Adam's estimate of when they would be ready to leave was right on time and I was even able to take a nap.
5. Adam had itemized everything that went on their truck and reviewed any high value items. I signed off, they closed up the truck and I was on my way, making the 3 hour drive to where we were staying.
6. My wife met Adam and Kevin at the new house and everything went smoothly as they unloaded our stuff. Within a few hours we had a garage full of boxes and furniture in the house.
So, to sum it up we had a great experience working with Merchants' Moving, and keep in mind this all happened during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The people were great, price was more than fair and we would recommend their services and use them again.

Contacted Merchants to get a quote and was very impressed with the level of support and profesionalism on the phone with Justin and Stacy. I even received a follow-up call after my move checking on how everything went. The movers themselves were very efficient and friendly guys. They took care of moving all items we requested and secured them in the truck. They even laid down a mat over the front door threshold and covered up our furniture with blankets, small details which I appreciated. Overall very pleased, Merchants made the already stressful experience of moving go a lot smoother, and I would hire them again without any reservations.

I can't stress enough how satisfied I am with my move through Atlas. Merchants Moving in Boise were great to deal with; the communication, explanations, materials provided pre-move, the list goes on. They could not have done a better job at making me feel comfortable in the weeks leading up to my move. They answered all my questions and helped to prepare me for a cross country move, easing a lot of the stress normally encountered when moving.

The driver was top notch. He was prompt, courteous, efficient, communicative and really friendly. I felt 100% comfortable that my items would arrive at my new home in perfect condition and I was right. The loading crews at both the pickup and the destination were very fast packers/unpackers and very careful with my property.

One happened to be my personal residence. The crew was punctual, professional and treated our belongings as if they were there own. We recently made a big move from Kansas City to Meridian, ID. We were given the name of Merchants to check out for the move. It is not an ideal time to move (December), but Ron was immediately responsive and helpful right from the first contact. From there, Ed came and met us, gathered a team and knocked the job out. We got a big dump of snow the next day in Kansas City, but that did not deter and they were on time with the delivery. Once in Meridian, Ed, Dan, and Pete were awesome to work with. All three guys were extremely helpful and went above and beyond. We could not have gotten a better team to work with and I would HIGHLY recommend Merchants and all the guys that took care of us.

Merchants moving and storage provided excellent white glove delivery service for my Restoration Hardware order. It was a large order for my entire home. They took the upmost care in my home with proper covering and assembly. They ever held the furniture a bit longer to wait for my remodel to be completed. This was the first time I have actually had a delivery company that cared for my items and my home.

From beginning to end every detail of this move was outstanding. Jenn does an outstanding job with communication and the guys are careful and respectful. I will always go to merchants for my Moving needs. Great experience!

No one likes moving but when you gotta do it, use this Boise company if you can. I've used merchants 3 times now and they have always been professional and courteous.

Merchants Moving & Storage handled our move and we were very impressed.
They protected our carpet and door jambs before they moved a single item.
They adjusted to the obstacles in our home and were able to get several large
items over a chair lift and around tight corners. They drilled new holes for old
bed rails and replaced old screws with wood screws. Our move was considerably
more challenging than they thought it would be but they made it work in a timely and
efficient manner. Our movers were friendly and considerate of all our needs and
went above and beyond to meet every request.

I used Merchants recently for a move out, move in and storage. They were professional and communicated well throughout. Their movers were conscientious and worked hard. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

I used Merchants to move me from the house I sold to a rental house; and 10 months later to move me from the rental into a new house we built. First of all, they actually came to my home to see what I had to move and listen to my concerns about things I needed to store until the new house was completed. Everyone else just gave me a phone quote or did not return my call in a timely manner.

I worked with Ron who found solutions for all of my needs. I rented a couple of mobile storage vaults which, they delivered, picked up after full and stored for 10 months. They then delivered them to the new house. We were able to unload them the same day and I when I called them they came back that day and picked up the empty vaults to get them out of the way. Their storage vaults were not large enough to fit some 10 foot tall garage cabinets I moved from the old to the new house. Ron suggested having his people wrap them safely and then store them in his warehouse, which he did for the entire time and then delivered them to me when we made the final move.

The moving crews were friendly and pleasant to work with. They were punctual and as careful as movers can be. We had no major incidents during the move with nothing of importance getting lost, broken or damaged. Ron was sensitive to cost and discussed various options to be competitive and affordable.

This company has been around for a long time. I also worked with them several times when my work place had moves and I experienced the same good service during those moves as well.

I would strongly recommend Merchant's Moving and storage for any of your storage or moving needs.

I had an outstanding experience using Merchants Moving & Storage to receive household goods in Boise, store them for several years and finally ship them on to my next destination. MM&S was very responsive to my requests, made the transition from government-funded storage to personally-funded storage easy and happily set up a date & time for me to come out to Boise, go through my crates, remove items for disposal/resale, and re-crate the remaining items. I found the storage area clean and organized. Once the remaining HHG items were delivered, the claim for the few items damaged in shipment was easily and satisfactorily resolved. I moved 13 times in my Air Force career and MMS ranked up at the top for all of the moving & storage companies I have worked with over the years. Thanks!

I’ve moved over two dozen times and fortunately most have all been good experiences. But none has come close to the service and care I received from Merchants this past week. It was the perfect move.

My wife and I have moved 7 times in 35 years. We have been moved by many companies but...... These people were a class A team! From day one I was moving they stayed in touch with me. If I had a question they were quick to respond. The movers (Jeremi & Chris) that came out were great also! They were a father & son team and they were very helpful and courteous. They went above and beyond the call of their job. I wouldn't want to be moved by anyone else.
