One of the greatest places I have worked. Everyone would practically give you their own shirt of their back if you asked. Don't believe the bad reviews, these people work hard to keep their freight moving, drivers just have no patience. Time is always ticking life away, so me thankful for every minute even if results in your downfall.

Brokers lying about appointment for this facility especially On Sunday’s appointments ( that’s what guard told me ) , we were many drivers on RC our appointment was Sunday but when we get here it’s Monday morning.

Park and walk to the guardhouse. Nice folks , but have your info together before checking in. Like all other grocery delivers a little slow. Mostly early AM delivery. Restrooms outside are a little rough. Can sleep on yard.

Absolutely horrible place to deliver unless its a drop and hook. Gate folks are nice but thats it. Rude treatment, and almost 5 hours wasted. 7 am appt. and they started unloading at 9:40am.. AVOID ALL LIVE UNLOADS HERE.

To get out a DC with over 50-75 trucks, waiting for lumper pw, under 4hrs is remarkable. Had a 5:45a.m appt. Got out at 1010. Not bad MDI, compare to other DC I've been to.

I'd love to get a contract mobile detailing their trucks. I didn't realize they had a truck wash on site. This place is huge! Everyone I spoke with was great and super helpful from the office, to H.R., to the garage. Also I super appreciate all the drivers getting us all those essentials out to us where would we all be with out you all. Thank you!

ZERO STARS! GOT UNLOAED AT 5:15AM FOR MY 5:00AM APPOINTMENT TIME! STILL NO PAPERWORK AT 8:15AM AND I PAYED THE LUMPER FEE AT 5:33AM! IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION DONT WAISTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE!

reviews are true. You just wait forever. It’s a unloading of 1-2 pallets an hour facility. They count the product and screw around in between. Doesn’t surprise me given it’s the south and many of these people have no work ethic down here. Once you pay the $295 lumper fee and all the product is off the truck you just wait in additional 2-3 hours. That’s the time it takes for the forklift driver to bring the paperwork to the capstone office. I waited 8 hours total on a proctor gamble unloading of basic cleaning supplies.

If only I could give it a zero. This is unbelievable going on six hours was a little bit early. I just don’t understand why? I know why they just don’t care about us drivers I guess they don’t understand that when our wheels aren’t rolling we’re not making money

Was not a bad place to work for however the HR department has a serious problem with actually doing there job as in someone needs to be fired. I've called multiple occasions at different times of the day and even left multiple messages with my phone # for three weeks and haven't received contact back. They have a sad excuse for a HR and whoever is running that department should just die because they're not doing anything anyway. Why hire lazy people???

I went in for an interview and the staff was super friendly

my dispatch made a mistake on my delivery here and now I have to wait until I can unload it in morning. I'll never be back here again. dislike delivery after midnight

I checked in at 5:15 appointment time was 6 am got me straight to a door turn on the red light and still sitting here this place has went down hill so bad.

I have checked 13 hours before my appointment time and yet they still were late for another 2 hour prior to my delivery. The worse place to be. They expected the lumper fee to be paid first before they even unload you. I wouldn't recommend this place for any owner operator cause I know time is really precious for other stop that's if you have one.

I wish I could give them a zero star, slowest l have ever encountered, l checked in at 04:20 am, given a dock at 12:00 noon, it’s 14:00 now and they haven’t start yet to unload my truck

Truckers. If u have a lot off time, join. Spent 7 hours( been on time, even for 2 hours early), then got the door by appointment. I'm do not know why it's take so long?! no desire to come back here again. I hope the management will take some measures to make the unloading process faster! Thanks

Not bragging or running down the company, just sharing my experience. Back in 1986 went to MDI to apply for a job, walking in the front door with 2 years under my belt and the lady at the front desk told me that she would be glad to give me a application, but .... She said that I would not get hired because I was a female, that I could fight it but if hired that I would be bullied by the other drivers. I told her that I didn't need a job that bad, and that I was a valuable asset to any company. Drug free, no accidents, clean MVR, 37 years now. This company thought that being a woman I could not unload the trucks and pull doubles. Ha, Ha, I went to work for Carolina freight, 1st woman and pulled doubles, I also work OTR as an owner operator out of Charlotte NC for Watkins motor lines in the 80's, and DOT foods in the 90's and I also over the years unloaded my own truck/trailer and put that lumper money

2 am appointment. Assigned door 02:45. Empty at 08:45...... 3 pallets. Slowest lumper service. No one is wearing a mask so they aren’t concerned about COVID they are USING the virus to keep drivers out while they waste your time. Shameful.

A very great place to work for sure! Great employee benefits daily bonuses, bonuses if you work on your days off, holiday bonuses, they treat you like an employee instead of just an employee number! The job is physically demanding but if you can make production you will definitely enjoy your time at MDI the employees are friendly and so is human resources! Everyone is willing to help you if you need it! Very recommended if you are looking for work!
