Unreliable, hidden fees & poor comms. Do not use!

I've had the most awful experience using KJ Cargo's services. I use a different shipper normally (County Cargo) but my friend recommended that I try KJ Cargo.

The experience started off really great. I got whatsapp notifications for every item i sent to them, and then for the shipment, they sent me a tracking link with an invoice which i thought was a nice techy touch. I even commended them for the service so far, and proceeded to order more items to their warehouse for subsequent shipment.

I was told my shipment was in Lagos and would be available for pickup on the 14th of April. I followed up on the 14th, knowing the 15th was a public holiday. I got no response.
Finally a WHOLE WEEK LATER than promised and with VERY poor communication from their team (no response or late responses to emails, whatsapp and calls), I was told to come and pick up my shipment. I told them I requested for a home delivery, to which they proceeded to add extra charges to my invoice. Long story short, I ended up having to book and uber to pick my shipment from the office.
My goods arrived with some of the food items melted and degraded.

They charged me 64 pounds for under 10kg.

Unfortunately I had ordered more items to their warehouse already. I was forced to ship again the rate of 10kg even though they were just a few items and the service is supposed to be "consolidated". Complete lies.

This time I received an invoice for 65 pounds, so they raised the per kilo rate without informing me, in addition to charging for 10KG instead of the actual volumetric weight of my items. I've emailed them requesting an explanation.

All in all, i'll have spent over £150 to ship less than 12 kilos worth of goods, with poor communication, huge amounts of stress and damaged goods by the time they arrived. Definitely not worth it.

I gave them this feedback directly, and they only decided to respond when they realised I was planning on leaving a review, telling me to "be nice". What an insult. They made no attempt to remedy the situation.

I would definitely recommend that you DO NOT use this service. They think that fancy technology can make up for an abysmal service, but clients will quickly see through that. I'd rather use other reliable services with less technology any day!

1) It's a lie. I was never told there was an airline backlog, and the COVID 19 excuse is getting weak and overused already. This isn't 2021. I have a screenshot of a whatsapp conversation where I was told it would arrive on the 14th. Nothing about covid or airline delays. Please don't tell lies in an attempt at damage control.

2) If you are truly sorry, you should not have hiked the price without informing me, and should have already applied a remedial discount to my existing invoice (#INV-20994). Instead I was charged a per kilo rate thats 5p higher than the price hike you informed me about AFTER i had shipped. #Crazy

Not good enough. Promised door to door delivery from London to Lagos in 5-7 working days but it took 9 days in total. I was at pains to point out my tight timeline so was very disappointed. To compound my indignation, staff were bullish in the defence of the indefensible! Just apologise for not keeping your stated vows.

I used them to ship good almost 2 pallets, some of the goods went missing.
They told me it could be from when they were off loading or moving them in their warehouse and promised to find them or do something about it but till date nothing has happened as if that wasn't enough they stopped answering my calls and when I call with another number once they answer & realised the call is from us they'll cut off the call. Another customer has complained of the same so I'll advise you be careful letting them handle or ship your goods.

Forst time using Kj Cargo and I have no regrets. Thanks for your prompt response and swift service. Recieved my shipment in less than a week !!!

The pickup service is not reliable, they will definitely dissapoint. I had some items to send via Sea, they posted an advert that sea cargo will leave on Monday. Turned out that Monday was a Bank Holiday, so they never loaded any sea cargo. So I request they come pickup on Tuesday. That Tuesday they said the driver went outside London that he can't make it, bare in mind I only leave 10mins away from their office.

So I said it's fine that the driver can come the next day, as far as it would leave with the sea cargo. On Wednesday now the driver called saying that it maybe today or Thursday. He never came on Wednesday.

Now it's Thursday, I was assured that the driver will be coming, guess what he never came. I had to message at 7pm asking what is going on to hear that the owner KJ himself told the driver to do a different pickup.

I have been waiting for this pick up since Tuesday. I'm seriously not happy. I wouldn't recommend using their pickup service. I don't even think I can use the company anymore, since the director is like this. I'm sorry.

If I option to give no star I would have given to then. Horrible and rubbish service over the call who has responded to me. I have no idea who.was that but I can say pretty sure who will the service be HORRIBLE..

I shipped some really important items from Nigeria to the U.K. although there was slight delays, the communication was good. I received my items in good time and in good condition. I have no regrets.

If there's a worst rating than 1 star! This company and disappointment goes hand in hand! Please don't fall for it, except you don't need your shipments urgently! Nothing has arrived within their estimated time and they will ignore you if you reach out to them!

These guys are the worst to use! My friend used to use them till December last year when they misplaced and delayed her shipment from UK to Nigeria without any communication or even reasonable talk! They will promise you heaven and earth, don't fall for it! She went back to them again 2weeks ago after pleads from them and guess who has been disappointed again! Haha! Correct! Avoid these guys please!!!!!

If you are looking for Cargo services that you can trust without a double mind, pls search no more. This KJ Cargos will deliver with excellence. I decided not to talk about thier dedicated staffs thats threats you like God, you'llneed to find out yourself. This Company is where to be, thanks to you all for keeping to your promise. You're more than welcome to use this service if your stuff is not needed urgent. I never shipped anything to Nigeria before but this being my first attempt was a bad experience so far, I will never use them again never. I wished I had come here first to read people's reviews before dealing with them. My car was scheduled to be shipped in November 2020, and expected for it to be in Nigeria by December, I choose to use roro instead container which will allow me to load the car, but I use roro because of the urgency of the need of the car. This guy Kanayo didn't call me to inform me that the ship will not be leaving in November again not until I called him in December 2020, he promised that the ship should leave in December, so I decided to schedule my traveling till January, this guy left the UK to Nigeria without no any notice or any correspondence to call.
He will never call you and they never about your stuff. Reading the reviews here as far back 2015 till date the reviews still remain the same, I wonder how they still remains in business

Stay away from these criminals!

I shipped four large bags of my personal belongings since March 2016 and after more than 4 years, I have still not received them.

They have been evasive since then.

They are scammers, do not use them!!!!

I used KJ cargo to ship 32 boxes from the ware houses in Croydon ( which actually is a rental from the Big Yellow Storage company ) That is to say they don’t own their own premises, they rent it form Big Yellow Box Storage which is , a private storage company in the UK. Anyway back to ,the terrible experience with this company. I had delivered all 32 boxes to there rental at the Big Yellow, after ringing T ( Kanyo assistant) she re assured me that all my consignment will be delivered safely to Nigeria. I went ahead and made payment. This was not the case 8 boxes out of the 32 went missing and up to this day I have not got a refund. They made all sort of excuses none which made an sense, even their manger Charles at Lagos understood my frustration but could not do anything because Kanyo runs this shipping company like ‘a one man band’ nothing moves unless he says so. So here I am with 8 boxes missing, I have filed a small claims dispute, here in the UK and I would advise any person who uses this company and their parcel end up missing to do so. Do not deal with Kanyo or KJ shipping, your items will get lost and you will not be compensated, You have been warned !!!!

1) this was my first shipment with them i have never used them before , so they lied with this statement "we have done many business in the past as well " blatant LIE !!!
2) A valid invoice was sent out to them KJ cargo last response to me was 6/ Feb/2020 I have been pursing this since January this year and they have failed to give a refund eve though valid documents were given to them
3) i stand by my original review ... AVOID THIS COMPANY , your goods will not arrive and you will sorely regret it that you used them !

Although skeptical at onset, i can now boldly tell anyone to patronize Kj Cargo. Delivery is prompt and my goods were intact and not damaged.

Reliable and accurate

Kj cargo logistics are thieves and fraud. People should avoid using them. I saw bad reviews about them if had know wldnt have sent my goods through them. I used them for the first time in may 2019 to send my goods to US from Nigeria and their agent in Nigeria Charles told me no problem only for them to tell me my goods were seized in U.K. I asked why did the good went to uk he said goods going to US wasn't much so they wanted to send frm uk to US but the goods were seized. They keep promising and promising it's been 3months and they have refused to refund my shipping fee rather his agent in Nigeria was saying rubbish. Their MD Kanayo refused to answer my call and refund my money. If you don't want stories that touch please don't send your goods through them I really lost a lot of money and am still paying the debt. Most of these reviews praising them are fake account and customers. You can't keep defrauding people for long very soon the law will caught up with you.

Horrible customer service. Bad with communicating any hold ups through to customers. They forgot to send movers the day of the pick up and I was left stranded for almost two hours till they sent a last minute courier service which was a lot more expensive (with no compensation!). Also did not stick with delivery time - paid for air freight which was meant to take a week and it has been delayed for over a month, and as usual no word from the company passing this information of delay across. Was recommended by a friend and safe to say, I will not be reusing this service. If you want your things on time, I do not recommend

I was a bit skpetical about using their service but I was more desperate so I did.. i was dealt with on a very professional manner and I was already glad I trusted to use them.. items arrived on the day the said it would no delays.. I will lost definitely use them again

My package was delivered from the store to the home of the recipient as requested without any missing item. Delivery did take longer than expected but they called the recipient to explain which I found helpful.

This was my first time using kj cargo services.My bags left uk on a Friday and by Wednesday morning I got a detailed text message that my bags were ready for pick up.A moment later I received a phone call from one of the workers ,the person called to be sure I received the text message.I was directed on how to get to the kj office .i got there and the staff were so friendly and when I wanted to carry my bags my self to the car,the staff refused and carried it themselves to the car.The staff also took the vehicle number of the car that picked my luggage.That was so professional,I got home and I received a call from the staff to be sure I got home safely!!!My experience was wonderful and service was professional.I will definitely use this service next time!!!

Used Kj Cargo for the first them, I was a bit skeptical about using them when I first saw their advert on Instagram but I called them and they promised that I wouldn't their services. Obviously, you cannot satisfy everyone. Initially I was of doubt but am a risk taker, called him and he drove down, I live outside London he came to pick it up and within 2-3 working days it arrived in Lagos. I must say impressive and contented. I am in the process of using him again, he is a polite and cool lad.

I'm reading some negative comments here but I'm really happy that for some reason I didn't see them before I decided to use this service as that would have certainly put me off.
I've never ever used cargo to send stuff home to Nigeria as i always hear negative stories, instead I wait till I get someone going and will rather pay for it to be taken as "excess luggage" , at least then I know it's safe.
Well last month I had to send things to my brother in Nigeria to be used for his wedding, there was no one going back soon so I was forced to use a cargo company. I came across this and I'm so glad I did.
Everything went great from beginning to end. My things were picked up on time, and ready for collection in Nigeria right on the day they said it will be. Delivered intact without any hassle.

Am struggling to get my payment for my tv stand , since oct 2015 . Iam still waiting from him to send me my refund around 6 months. My tv which he sent to me arrived with a broken screen and he refuses it to pay for it. Also he not return my phone calls or @ .

I wasn't surprised when I saw majority of the reviews about this company. Kanayo Iyama, the owner of KJ cargo Services, is not only a liar and a fraud but also a thief. This man is one of the Nigerians that continue to give Nigerians a bad name. I believe all the positive reviews about this company were written by fake accounts created by Kanayo himself.

I have been doing exportation of goods to various countries for the past 15 years and till date I have never experienced what Kanayo, KJ cargo services, did to me and my company. The only reason I decided to use him in this first was because my cargo company did not have any container to Nigeria as early as needed. All my goods were fully delivered to his warehouse and he assured me delivery to Nigeria within three weeks. It took about 4 months for this so called container to get to Nigeria.

Normally I don't pay my cargo companies the full amount till they've delivered, Kanayo kept on calling and asking for his full payment to clear the goods and because the end user company of these goods were constantly calling me, I paid Kanayo his money. After fully paying this liar called Mr Kanayo his money, he not only lost more than half of the goods but also claimed my suppliers never delivered to him.

Two days after he calls claiming he found some of the missing items in his warehouse and that he would use air cargo to export them immediately. This never happened. He then promised to refund the money for the missing goods. This also did not happen. I am also going to attach pictures of all the conversations, email and Whatsapp, I had with this man. Also within all this, this man never answered his calls and it took forever for him to reply emails. Even when he answers your call, he will give one silly excuse or the other. (His usual lie is 'he's driving and can't talk).

After all this I never recovered any of my missing goods from this man. I ended up re-ordering and using my personal air cargo company to export the items. Now it's normal to do certain jobs at a loss in this field, but the loss from this job I have never experienced in my life. I was almost kicked out as a supplier at the end user company because of this wicked liar and thief called Kanayo Iyama.

I WON'T BE SURPRISED IF HE TRIES TO DISCREDIT THIS REVIEW.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this company. Kanayo is a big thief with no shame. It's sad that a man at that age is going around duping innocent hard working people. Like I said before, It's only a matter of time Kanayo.

I have been using K.J.cargo for the past three years shipping my personal goods to Nigeria, their door to door is very efficient.
I have also used their service to ship goods to other part of Africa.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! BEWARE!

This company lost my bag over six months ago and has refused to issue a refund. I am surprised they are still running after doing this to so many people. TNT gave them my refund of £60, and they were supposed to add £100 to it making it a total of £160 that I am yet to receive.
After these other comments I am starting to believe they steal your baggage, get refunds from third party companies and dupe you off everything.

Its hard to trust and depend on some shipping company nowadays, with lot of people trying to over charge you or rip you off.

My personal experience with KJ Cargo Services has restored my faith in the shipping industry again. After contacting KJ Cargo Services on behalf of my brother who was relocating back to Offenbach in Germany and wanted his personal belongings moved as quick as possible, which was done professional without delay at a reasonable price by KJ Cargo Services within the short period of two days.

Thank you very much for your outstanding services, which to me its a 5***** all round in Speed, Price, Honesty, Communication, Knowledgeable advice and assurance.

KJ Cargo services limited is the worst shipping company I've ever dealt with! I relocated back to Nigeria and used their shipping freight service to ship all my household and personal items. First, I was lied to about the shipping method (he shipped my items in someone else's truck and not a container as advised), Secondly, majority of my personal items were stolen and the rest tampered with/destroyed(out of 29 boxes, I was able to retrieve only 5!). My wife and I had to rummage through a dump site to make up the 5 boxes!

You would expect that a company that claims to have been in business for a very long time would be professional and compensate me for the stolen items without delay. However, on sending my invoice for compensation, they have gone mute considering my wife and I have lost everything we have worked for, for over a decade in the UK. It is now one week and I am still waiting to be compensated and they haven't had the courtesy to reply to my email and provide an expected resolution/compensation date.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND NEVER USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
