Canadian Customs regulations are complex and can often be challenging, even for people who have been involved in import/export for years. It is often essential to use the services of a professional customs broker who knows what they are doing to ensure your company is in full compliance with customs regulations and not exposed to unnecessary risk or delays. I have sought advise from Courtney Agencies for going on 20 years now, both as a direct customer and have strongly recommended my customers and 3rd parties to work with Courtney on complex import and export shipments. Some examples have included underwater network cable that was delivered by a foreign carrier, transferred to a Canadian barge then installed (underwater) between Canada and the USA. In these kinds of situations it is critical to work with a Canadian Customs Broker who clearly and thoroughly understands local regulations. Often companies don’t appreciate the full scope of documentation they may require to ultimately satisfy CBSA.
I try to encourage importers/exporters to contact Courtney early on in a project, provide truthful information and let Courtney help from the start to ensure they have the necessary requirements well in advance of goods arriving or departing the country.

The absolute worst broker in the business. Didnt clear paperwork for 3 days, lied, misled and didn't respond when called or emailed. Customer ended up paying for 3 days waiting time plus ended up having to get their freight returned because of this custom brokers negligence. STAY AWAY
