Give away a load after telling you that you are booked on the load. Did not even call to tell me this until I had to reach out to find out where my rate confirmation was.

Worse ever in US no customer service unorganized they are anti drivers daiania is one of after hrs customer service she is rude they kill all my drive time I came here 2 pm yesterday now 7:05 am broker did not set or has no confirmation delivery appointment I am stuck in Indianapolis Indiana

Worst company I have ever hauled for. Delt with 3 brokers. Had 2 pu appointments. Pu # was wrong. Cannot get ahold of anybody very poor communication. Had 2 delivery appointments both wrong have a new one now. Hope it is good. Paige Burleigh is the broker I am dealing with now. Was told I would receive layover pay and detention pay but we will see. Never again. I look at the responses everyone gets they all look the same but they just change the name they are going to.

Broker Nichole Modesitt - do not deal with her !!! Very rude, unprofessional and unfair !!! Be ready to be short paid on a load without any reason.
To get any hold or help - almost impossible from the accounting as well. Very rude people working there !

Regularly underpay

Not Carrier friendly- Our driver got stuck on the Interstate overnight in snow (Interstate shut down completely)- which caused a Friday delivery to get moved to TUESDAY. And didn't offer anything for layover- in fact- refused our request for layover. Not sure we'll be quick to jump back into another load with these folks.

Reading the reviews will tell you what kind of place this is, no character and practice bad business. They don’t stand behind their word or honor their own contract. They wouldn’t even help guide or advise, one of their brokers on how to handle a situation he obviously had no clue on what to do. He made mistake after mistake and of course, at the expense of the driver and the driver’s company. A minor issue took 5.5 days to resolve and they were shocked and surprised when the driver got upset and voiced their frustration! In the end they put all the blame on the driver which was totally false. But given the caliber of people they are and their more than dishonest business dealings it’s not surprising they shifted the blame. A company like this doesn’t last long so keep all this in mind when searching for a brokerage firm.

This is by far the worst broker I have ever used I was on time at my pickup and was kept 5 hrs and I was told by Lucas our broker after 2 hrs my detention starts well I couldn't make my deliver on time due to the shipper keeping me so long so I let Lucas know he said not a problem so they made my appointment for 11 pm the next day which made me lose another load and then he wouldn't answer my calls or text but sent me a text back and said call his supervisor which I did Renee said she would call me back and she did not and then wants to pay me 300$ more they are a joke

Do not use this company as a broker! Please stay away! They will lie to you about Detention time, hints why it's not on there rate con. I urge you they are very unprofessional.

We call to ask for a load and they confirmed that this load will be for me but we need to do the set up first and After sending the setup form they kept advising they had not received it I redid it since it’s electronically but no luck. We also sent various emails but no reply either. I called the office and after being on hold for 20 minutes I was hung up on. This is a waste of time and not efficient at all. Please respect people’s time.

CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH! DO NOT WORK WITH THESE GUYS EVER! THEY DO NOT PAY! At the moment they owe me plenty in loads and there's no way of getting thru them... I have pictures of bills from shipper and every page signed from receiver yet they claim that are missing pages! What imaginary pages are those?

Booked a load with Helen in the morning. She said we need the VIN number and she is going to send me the rate con. I sent her the VIN number from the truck and she kept saying they are busy and will send me rate con later in the day.
After 4 hours I call back to ask for the load confirmation her co-worker told me that load is actually covered with someone else like 2 hours ago.

We where late on 08/26 to delivery at Target in Rialto,Ca because we got loaded very late at the shipper in Appleton,Wi.
I called the broker every day to make new appointment to deliver this load and she never answered me on the phone calls and emails.Today is Monday 08/30 and they still didn’t made the new appointment to deliver this load!

I did my part on my pickup in Buffalo and my part on being on time in Suffolk, unfortunately choptank didn't have my load scheduled for the right day . Now they offer $300 to lay over . Meanwhile I'm loosing out on 2 other loads that I booked $4800 GONE ! Thanks choptank.so after 24 hours choptank still thinks of themselves ! They have no concept of how a owner operator operates, $4800 loss is a big one to overcome in a week. No compensation for what was lost. All companies should avoid these guys at all cost ! They think of themselves not the drivers .there's alot of other GOOD brokers out there big businesses should look elsewhere to have their products shipped

I am a owner operator who pulled 2 loads with Choptank Transportation.... There were a few issues with the pay that I overlooked that prevented speedy pay on my 1st load... my 2nd load had a extra pallet of sausage left on my trailer which would've prevented quick pay and required me to go to a extra stop to off load the product... The resolve on these issues were proving to be tedious until I contacted Kristin in carrier relations.... she jumped on both issues and they both were resolved in minutes... within 20 mins I was a happy camper... please... if u have any issues call carrier relations they are there for the carrier... I look forward to doing business with Choptank in the future... thank u Kristen have a awesome vacation

Going on two weeks now waiting to receive detention. It's likely we won't get anything at this point. After following all instructions, downloading a tracking app, and everything else as instructed. IF you are a carrier, I'd advise just staying away.

I have no idea what kind of service they provide in terms of logistics but at least twice a week they call my place of business and I give them the correct number to call to discuss logistics and they are completely incapable of retaining this information and making use of it which tends to make one question how they could handle something more complicated than keeping track of a phone number.

WE COMPLETED A MEDIFAST LOAD FOR CHOPTANK ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. We were late to delivery at the Halethrope, MD facility because it was snowing and the highways were closed they charged us a late fee of $50 an hour!
This company has no respect for trucking companies! We booked a load with Lucas Hudson & Renee Staton they we very rude over the phone and kept blaming us for being late when clearly the DOT forced our truck to shut down during the snow storm!
I don't know why customers such as Medifast in Halethrope, Md, Bagel Boy in Lawrence, MA and Garlock printing in Gardner MA choose to deal with this types of broker they should seriously reconsider giving these types of people contracts!!

I would not recommend this brokerage to other carriers. My driver used their tracking and they still charged us a fine because it didn’t show up on their end. Also, whenever we called to try and solve the problem they would get mad and yell at our drivers or our dispatcher and then they would say that we were the ones yelling and cussing them out. We will not be hauling anymore product for them if this is how they’re going to treat us.

Second worst company after TQL. They are booking loads without apts. They will send you rate con with apts but they actually havent got them . They put me on a load, got loaded so they told me to go back to get everything out of my truck because they werent able to get the apt that they said. Terrible service

Choptank has been excellent at taking care of our business. The level of customer service and communication is always top notch. Anyone who regularly ships knows that there will be times where the trucker shows up too late or too early, may be hard to track, etc. But with Choptank, they are always on top of things and I usually hear about an issue from them long before it becomes an issue for a client. We ship high value electronic equipment, and the truckers are always prepared with the items we need to safely secure the items. Prices are always competitive. Usually I don’t write a bad reviews but this time I must! The Worst broker Ever!No don’t waste your time and money by booking the loads with Choptank! They will fine you for everything! I booked the load and had an agreement with the broker about pick up and delivery days.but after the load was delivered they fined us for no reason. Christopher the sales rep called on updates on Sunday and at 5:30 am even when they where trucking my driver. He blamed my driver for standing at the pick up location when my driver was 250 ml away. The brokers are so unprofessional! This company is doing shady business! I would give them 0 if I could!

They said they would get detention for us. dispatch spent 2 weeks trying to collect with numerous phone calls and emails they finally came across with $37.50 what a joke.

No body ever answers the calls. I just got hung up on 3 times. Still waiting on payment for a load that was delivered in February. This company has gone in a terrible direction. All my drivers are refusing to haul for them

This company is no good they will rob you they dont want to pay for freight transportation .plus cancel loads on you while you at the shipper.i will be reporting them to the fmcsa. I have paid tolls to go to long island

We have done over 20 loads with Choptank to date and recently completed another. The staff are polite and courteous. Never annoying calls at strange hours and the rates are fair. I highly recommend hauling for them and would not hesitate to pull full time for them. Brooke and Kriston both went out of thier way to resolve a issue we had when my compressor went out on our reefer. Sincerely wish all brokers would take a lesson from Choptank.
