!! Good company but definitely not enough miles from Cambridge terminal most of work to East side less than 700 miles trips even they force to do pickup/delivery in Canada for 90% loads..

Didn't get a good response

Typical corporate company, you just a number. Not paying what they offered in contract. Few pluses is this company 1) Good size yard with well maintenance. 2) If you work more then 3-4 years you can expect new equipment. 3) Good school. 4) Good drivers About minuses it’s paying I think is lowest in the market, you have experience then you can expect 0.48c/mile but nothing more. If you are new about 44c not many companies offering lower… old equipment for new hired driver. Management/HR is spying your personal Facebook pages that’s you need to expect if you put bed review about them.

They have all the tools foe drivers to be successful safely if your willing to be a professional driver and work legally with great driver management tools. Hauling for the biggest customers other company’s only dream of. Totally amazing in a time where drivers and companies are failing all around us and struggling to run legally. Highly recommended by us and many of our friends who work here.

Their is quite interesting story related to them. I had applied for truck job here. Firstly when I had zero experience in trucking they passed me out in road test. Unfortunately second time after 1 year, when I went for road test they failed me out. It's quite hard to believe. I drove perfectly on the road and backed up in 2 pull ups and pre trip went very well. 1st day examiner told me I'm good to go but second day when I phoned second day jackelyn told me you failed the test and she had already sent an email. That email I have never received it. I literally laugh on challenger bcz I don't know that are thinking

Had a load with Jake Savel from Bellevue OH to Mount Vernon IN with an 11am Del appt. Driver was there first thing in the morning to try and get unloaded earlier , and the receiver told him that the appts are scheduled online and this one was set the day before at 1pm and the broker was aware of that cause logically they were the ones that set the appt. I spoke with the receiver by myself just to verify the del appt, and they told me that there is no way that they would have set an appt for 11am cause there was no one available and told us that this is pretty common for them to do cause nobody wants to deliver in the PM area, and this is something that they do all the time just to sell the loads. Cause thats the case with this load and probably other ones, i just wanna warn other carriers not to do bussiness with this company unless they wanna be lied to , and especially will make sure our friends carriers based out of IL make sure what they might be dealing with if they ever use this company. Always check your loads carriers its as easy as it gets

Past 4:00 am Feb,12,2021 one your truck on cambridge Ontario east 401 driving over speed limits,,trailer number LC1297 !!! In Ontario truck speed limit it's 105??? It's your safety and people safety too !!!

My husband went for a road test and the instructor was horribly rude. I don’t know if he was racist or did not consider him as a candidate to work in the company but his behaviour towards my husband was shameful and disrespectful. Be mindful when applying.

Staff was friendly
Safety department was really good in helping and answering questions

Cons: other companies pay better.
No uniforms especially for bulk division
Takes quite awhile to get truck fixed properly. Depending on division your in.
No space to grow/move up in the company.
Dispatchers think that they are right and driver knows nothing.

If it got better and changed especially pay I would consider going back.

So here's a current update to my review. I recently applied back to challenger they gave me the job and a start date and 2 days before I was done at my other job. Well they called me and then told me that they will no longer give me a position so be aware of the hiring practices of this company.

This rating is how I perceived the company when I drove for them in the 90's. To do my 30 years all over again, I would have stayed away from large carriers. Challenger is such a carrier.

When your hiring team showed up at the trsining school over lunch (which others do so with an actual lunch i.e.pizza sandwiches ) CHALLENGER showed up with a tim- bit pack of 20 and coffee...for a class of 12!!!!! Are you kidding??? You insult ppl before you even hire them!!! PATHETIC!!!!! It gives you a "clue" as to who these ppl are.

Better than many desi companies...Steady miles, no waiting ,mostly hook and drop,good dispatch and well managed..

i m so sorry. if my husband is not feeling safe to take the load in this winter storm ...it’s understandable that you hv dedicated load. plz make sure your truck owner is aware of the labour laws- not to forcefully send them. just bcz of their profit. we much preferred a safe life over money ! who will be responsible if something happened on the way ????! would love to get the contact information of HR head to discuss the situation.

Look it’s a huge company you get treated like a number! Your no ones friend or buddy they don’t care who you are. They say they will call you back and never do money was always there. Great benefits I won’t say anything about the equipment as they do pay breakdown pay!

Extremely unethical, rude, intimidating dispatcher Dan Murphy. KingK Transport hauled load, got rate confirmation, sent back signed rate confirmation, picked up the load on time, delivered the load on time successfully, sent the invoice. Then unethical, rude Dan Murphy emails company threatening not to pay the company because he says rate was agreed in Cdn dollars and not US dollars. Well I guess Mr Dan Murphy does not read his emails or signed confirmations. Let me tell you that load was delivered in early November 2018 and he emailed company on 3rd Dec that omg it was not US but Cdn. In his email he threatens that you will not be paid until you resend the invoice in Cdn. Really??? not happening???? If you know the law you would know better the value of rate confirmations. Here are few of his words from his own emails:
"Don't dare try to bill us on the USD or you won't be getting paid for an extended period due to the inconsistency in the system."
"You have an option. keep it as it is and get the money clawed back by your factor when it isn't paid in 90 days."

Beware this company does not like working with companies who are honestly working hard and delivering loads. I do not know if we will get paid by them or not. However will not give in to this bullying.... Will definately take actions if not paid.

Not the greatest miles out of Cambridge terminal. Better miles come out of Dorval, Calgary and BC.

Good starting company but definitely not enough miles out of Cambridge.

Breakdown is really helpful, probably the best out there.

Only cracked 3000 miles once in 3 months of driving. Not a single load over 600 miles.
