What a place to be.... I called there and their own team told me not to come to this place and their own attitude shows it. They don't care about nothing including the drivers.

  • on 28.07.2022

This place told me that as a past driver I don't matter, are you kidding me its because of us you have a job without us there is no need for you. Spread the word they are terrible with how they treat students and past drivers.

  • on 28.07.2022

This place is a joke, had my new job send them a voe, and the refused to take 2 mins. To do it !!! Do work for people or train with people that act in such a way drivers as its a gusgrace to the industry. The recruiter and Lana both told my new employer that we as former people are not a priority and that only incoming drivers are and I must wait which in turns hinders me from gainful employment. They provided me with the details and now I will be seeking to hold them accountable in the court of public relations for all new drivers to know who and how they are.

I drove 6hrs passed my dot and physical training not to mention I was the smallest guy there and still did the same as everyone else and was called in by jeff wisher hog and he told me I had to leave due to my tattoos not to mention everyone else there has tattoos, he judged me on the way I look point blank he had no other excuse but to deny me the job because of the way I look not to mention none of my tattoos are offensive but he will just be one grain of sand on my journey his ignorance will not stop me from getting on the road but one day he will meet the only person who gets to judge only the lord will not judge him by the way he looks but by his actions here on earth and by the looks of it I’m guessing the lord will deny him.

Worst company they want you fail

  • on 21.07.2022

I should’ve known how this company was gonna be by the miserable unprofessional recruiter (Mike Mathews) I left my job to go through their trucking school. It was a dreadful experience every last trainer and employee except one who all the other trainers called him crazy Mike (because he actually cared and tried to help) was so unhelpful rude and just there for the check. They sit there watch and laugh at you and never teach you anything. Every week they send home/fire minimum %75 of each class they expect every student to know everything. I went to Roehl and couldn’t believe the difference everyone was scary nice so helpful and wanted you to succeed and that was 2 years ago and I’ve been driving since. Talking to TMC drivers I’m so blessed I didn’t stay their they have the slowest trucks in the country and the drivers are literally just a #. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere except TMC

  • on 17.07.2022

This company seems very organized, and you may think it's a great opportunity. Please do not believe them. Here are a few examples of things they will lie about. They will say you are hired already and are coming for the training for your new job. False, the two-week training is a trial basis, and you can be sent home at any time if you do not pass a portion of it. They will find you an O-T-R trainer within 150 miles of your home. False. Some drivers must go as far as 300 miles from their homes to meet their trainers. You are paid for your two-week training. Wrong if you decide that TMC is not the company for you. You will not be paid for your training, and you will have to pay for the DOT physical they make you get on the first day. You will earn 1500 per week before taxes. False. You will only make this much if you work 7 days a week. This company pretends to be honest and wholesome, and I'm sure at one point they were, however, as of now, they are misleading and dishonest. This is not a company to work for unless you enjoy being tricked.

I called the company to report a driver (he was cruising in left lane below speed limit holding up traffic). The safety department said that I was “bringing them down” and didn’t really seem to think my concern was being handled seriously.

Worst trucking company out there by far!!! Recruiter lies tells you that you will make 750 during training but its really 650 then taxed so it will be about 500. Trainers are lazy on the road, you will do all the driving while your trainer will make all the money. They don't treat people good at all. They will just use you. Its completely miserable they lie about everything, they even said i took 2 cash advances which i clearly didn't just to bury me in the hole with them even more!!

I usually reserve any comments about a company till after one year. This is to give me the chance for the newness to be gone. Well just completing my 1st year with TMC and can now say this has been the best job change I have made in my 40 years of working. Wish I would have made this change years ago. TMC offers the employee's so much from training, equipment, support to great individuals to work with. Now that i have made the choice to be a trainer, I hope to continue the level of great drivers that TMC has.
    Be safe all !!!

Truck # 13679 license plate # DX6039 intentionally sped up to run us off of the road as we tried to merge onto highway 75 north today in Henry county Georgia. Your driver is reckless and will certainly seriously injure someone one day.

  • on 31.12.2021

Iam seeing alot of people complaining about a broken windshield that is clearly either previous damage or a rock from the road and if you are on an on ramp it's your job to yield not the driver already on highway drivers can't just slam on brake and let you in and if you choose to ride directly behind or beside a truck that is your choice and the walmart post well walmart drivers like to hold other driver out in the lane seeing as tmc is governed at 65 and other companies like to play games no driver is perfect but we strive to be as safe as possible tmc is a great company and just because you feel like speeding up when you see the turn signal come on that doesn't give you the the right to complain if a turn signal comes on and you speed up then don't complain about a dri e pulling in front of you

Great trucking company! I did 5 years with these guys and thoroughly enjoyed growing my knowledge and experiences with them. This is not for the faint of heart or lone rangers who can't follow rules. Very professional and if you carry yourself as such and grind like you want it, TMC will provide you a path to the opportunity you want. In 5 years I went from 0 experience to owning my own truck, trailer, and business. But if that's not your goal, TMC retirement plan is unbeatable! They definitely take care of their drivers IF the driver professionally takes care of himself and TMC.

  • on 20.11.2021

The recruiter told me that the average weekly income for a driver in my state was $1550. After driving for 1 week I can see the only way to do that is to fudge your ELD. I was show that if loading or unloading put yourself in sleeper to save time, and we were still working strapping or unstrapping loads. they will tell you at orientation that no headsets, phones, or Bluetooth can be used but about 50% of the drivers I meet had headsets. also you have to wear PPE I meet 15 drivers and 0 of them were wearing a hardhat or reflective vest. that week my trainer made $1040 of the 4 loads(drove 2000 miles) we worked 65 hours= $16.25 per hour!!!!

  • on 16.11.2021

Stopped in to grab an application. Everyone was very hospitable, even the Owner/Operator at the entryway who didn't appear to work there.

  • on 13.11.2021

So over all my experience training with Tmc was not enjoyable at all, Some instructors are great and know what their doing, most of them are very rude, sarcastic, condescending for no apparent reason making it an uncomfortable experience while training with some of them, I found it very unattractive and a deterrence for most new aspiring truck drivers. By all means go if you want to learn flat bed, don’t expect to be treated with respect by most of the instructors, it’s clear your just another group number to them and they aren’t thrilled to teach and guide you properly to ensure success.

TMC Transportation is a GREAT company to work for I've had my fair share of experience with trucking companies in my 12yrs of trucking. And I have to say I love working for TMC. Yes they are strict on their hiring process and cleanliness of the trucks, but that's what makes us one of the best Flatbed Carriers in the United States. If you read some of the reviews on here bad mouthing the company it's from drivers who just couldn't step up to TMC's standards. My Fleet Manager Kevin Cahill is absolutely awesome I love working with him. We get work done and sometimes get to joke around a bit too. My Operations Manager Kyle Miller runs a great group of Fleet Managers who are very knowledgeable about the industry.

To be honest I thought this would be a great starter company for my career. Turns out I was wrong. The recruiter lied to get me up there, and we were not even hired on. I was under the impression that I had a job, but instead it was a "2 week interview." They let people go for any little things. If you don't pass certain classes, they will send you home., not to mention, no one has mask on around there. Um... isn't Covid still around...??? I would not suggest this company to anyone. Stay as far away as you can

We recently used TMC Transportation after another vendor had fallen through and left us high and dry for transporting a high profile project. We had the pleasure of working with Garrett Alt. Garrett took our last minute request (literally for day of transport needing to cross the border) and he HANDLED business. He got driver's lined up and based on the communications I saw it seemed like as he took care of our needs and made this happen for us he didn't sleep. The emails with updates were coming through as late as 9pm and as early as 4am. Because of his hustle and the philosophy at TMC of serving their clients we got our units to our client. They assisted in our time of need and we won't soon forget it! We are grateful to the TMC team for coming through for us and we intend to use them going forward for future needs. Highly recommend!

Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Leadership of training and medical departments have no clue how to be professional. Recruiting department needs some serious training and ability to know when to contact other departments. Listening to Company drivers in the chrome Cafe will tell you a lot about the company. I would highly recommend going somewhere else!

Started off here years ago, by far the best flatbed training out there. Also by far the strictest rules and stuff to follow, but following orders and laws is 100% worth it. I've used my training over the last 11 years to haul some crazy loads, even had to come up with a way to haul some strange looking loads for oil and gas. Can never have enough chains or chrome.
