This outfit is pretty poor - you name it they will blame someone else for it. Only thing they are efficient at are taking your money then roll on the blame game. Pretty pictures of expensive cars on their website (which I assume is an attempt to convey professionalism). Good luck spending money here - took almost a year to get a car back from the US and all they did was pass the buck again and again between customs, covid, shipping, their US agents, details regarding the vehicle (which they were made well aware of before accepting the job so don’t bother trying to say this was an issue in any response). Go elsewhere - joke of a company.

I will start with the positives (my only reason for 2 stars rather than 1)- Shipmycar was quick to sort out customs clearance of my car and the NOVA process. However, from the day I accepted their quote to the day I had my vehicle collected, it has not been a positive experience. I completely understand the difficulties faced by shipping agents at present given the pandemic, but one would think that during these times, communication would be more important than ever. The directors (Nick & Kingsley) seem completely disinterested in the customer, and come across as quite passive aggressive. Each update had to be prompted and chased, with consistent generic responses such as "Will update/confirm ASAP". To me, this indicates they simply didn't know where the car was at a give point in time before the car was loaded in Australia, and also when it arrived in the UK. I ended up communicating with the Australian shipping agent directly, and then phoning the UK port to find out further information (to the director's disapproval). Overall, a very disappointing experience, and I'm sure any response from the directors will be defensive, claiming that I was a difficult customer... but I would urge potential customers to check some of the reviews on Trustpilot too before committing to their services.

Lots of people offer this service, but these were very good. Very responsive and walked me through the rather complex process. And I just have a 'normal' car....

I am more than happy to have found ShipMyCar to help me with the process of the registration of my car in UK. Without your help I would be still blocked on the burocracy.

You gave me an accurate view of the process ahead and you resolve fast the issue DVLA gives at first with the taxes, if I would do the process by myself I would be still waiting and waiting without any success.

I had some issues while shipping my car but the way shipmycar dealt with them was outstanding. You can tell that customer satisfaction is their number 1 priority and it was a huge relief dealing with such a professional and honest company. I had an excellent experience with Shipmycar.co.uk after shipping my car from Japan to the UK Nick and Kingsley were great at handling the registration processes, and helping repair work to be carried out - despite the DVLA delays at present Nick and the team were fast, efficient and always kept me up to date with the progress, and after the repairs and service were done my car has never driven better! (and fair cost!) Further to this they were very accommodating to my request to pick up my car out of office hours for which I am very thankful. I am very unhappy with the service that was provided by ship my car. To begin with, they registered my car incorrectly which has resulted in me having to pay a high road tax. Unfortunately they are now denying this and have left me with this issue! Their communication is pretty much non existent and they do no provide you with any help in relation to your issue. I would not recommend them to anyone! Please find a more reputable and reliable company rather than wasting your time and money.

After importing my car into the UK and having a nightmare with the DVLA and VCA I contacted Ship My Car for advice.

They could not have been more helpful, I got the problem solved within a morning thanks to their kindness understanding. I would highly recommend this company for any car imports.

I purchased a mach 1 state side on boxing day had quotes from ship my car liked the way they took over everything from contacting the company I bought from to shipping to the port, putting it in a container shipping across all conversions tests etc, even arranged for delivery to door. At all times kept me well informed on progress as well as pictures, there was no hidden extras as per original price. It took nearly 6 months but 3 1/2 of those was due to covid 19, so delivery was as they stated. The car arrived i have contacted nick a couple of times even over the weekend of which he replied promptly every time which you wouldn't have got from many companies. If anyone asked would you recommend them i wouldn't hesitate.

Shipping my Harley from Dubai to the UK whilst working in Singapore was more complicated and expensive that i thought it would be but I have been really grateful to ShipMyCar and Kingsley for taking on the challenge, working through the steps and getting the job done. Overall an excellent service! They shipped a classic car over from the US and dealt with the shipping, import, customs clearance, conversions, MOT, DVLA registration and gave it a service and clean. The whole process took longer than expected but I can't fault the end result and they were always very polite and helpful whenever I rang with questions or an update on what was happening during the process.

We would look nowhere else when it comes to world wide vehicle logistics. They recently imported a car from the states for us and the entire process was exceptionally professional form start to finish.

I never actually had a car shipped with them (as yet) as the sale my end fell through and I never went ahead. I had already paid Shipmycar a significant deposit and they gave me an instant, full refund. Their internet customer portal they have is a very good resource to consolidate your enquiry and take things forward should you need to do that without lengthy phone calls etc. Highly recommended!

Great service in bringing my Mustang from Wisconsin USA to Milton Keynes. Smooth, trouble free and very friendly...highly recommended if you want to transport a car.

Car shipping from US was delayed. Then, mechanic made some repairs and broke the electric wiring. Took 6 months to repair. DO not repair electrics here other than lights.

ShipMyCar were contracted to ship a car from South Africa to the UK.
Quoted 12 to 16 weeks. Collection was some 30 weeks later.

Communications was very poor throughout.

From a web site which promises so much and delivers so little.

The time for shipping and delivery was 3 times as much as quoted.
Communications was very poor and required much prodding after each step failed to materialise.

This in turn caused me to make multiple changes to my rota to be available for collect of the car, as each deadline changed.

Made a journey down to Milton Keynes in Nov 18 to collect my goods and personal effects, as the car was no where near being available for collection.

The car was not ready or accessible on arrival after being informed in advanced of my arrival date and time

After constant prodding as too progress, being informed the car was ready for collection in Feb 2019 and having 7 days to collect, after which time a daily GBP10 fee would be chargeable, a time and date was confirmed and still the car was not ready, the license plates were being fitted and the side window tint was being removed on the day of collection.

After informing I would be collecting the car that day.

Additions to the quote were added without communication.

All in all a rather long and drawn out process which could have been better handled if the communication were all the was promised.

Would not recommend for shipping your car.

Excellent service, go far beyond a standard shipping company. Collected my car from them ready to drive, they had even cleaned it! I didn't have to do anything. Really friendly and knowledgeable people. Highly recommended

Poor service delivery

I was rather disappointed with the service provided by this company in light of the several positive reviews online.

Ship my car recently shipped my car from Dubai to England. It took more than double the time initially communicated and double the initial quote for my car to arrive in the UK. My car was also returned scratched, with a flat car battery and remote battery and rubbish on the back seat, only to name a few issues. Overall not a great experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
