Ocean, air and cross-border road into Canada, with our own trucks at the Toronto rail ramps
Setara Logistics Inc. is a freight forwarder and 3PL based in Vaughan, Ontario, in the northwest corner of the Greater Toronto Area. We arrange ocean FCL and LCL, air, rail intermodal and road freight, covering Ontario domestic lanes, Canada to US cross-border, and international import and export. What sets us apart from most forwarders our size is that we run our own container drayage at the GTA rail ramps, CN Brampton and CPKC Vaughan, through our sister company Setara Transport Inc. When a container is released, we are not sitting in another dispatcher's queue waiting for a truck. For overseas partners routing boxes into Toronto, that is usually the difference between a clean delivery and a week of demurrage. On the forwarding side we are asset-light by design, working with vetted contracted carriers and a licensed customs broker partner, so our customers deal with one point of contact from booking through to delivery. We hold a CBSA freight forwarder carrier code and transmit advance house bill data directly. We trade on the CIFFA Standard Trading Conditions and carry freight forwarder liability, errors and omissions, and contingent cargo cover.

Geolocation coverage
Ocean. FCL and LCL import and export, with house bill documentation, shipping instructions and VGM handled in-house. ISF filing coordination on US-bound cargo and ACI house bill transmission on Canadian imports.
Air. Import and export via consolidator and direct services, including regulated and hazardous goods through qualified partners. Airport pairs worldwide with GTA pickup and delivery.
Road and cross-border. FTL and LTL across Ontario and into the United States using vetted contracted carriers, with full documentation support including CUSMA certificates of origin and PARS and PAPS coordination.
Container drayage and intermodal. Our own equipment at CN Brampton and CPKC Vaughan serving GTA delivery points. We manage against the free time clock rather than around it, and we book empty returns at the same time as delivery.
Customs coordination. All entries are filed by our licensed customs broker partner. We manage the document flow so your shipper is not chasing three parties for one shipment.
Agent services. For overseas forwarders needing a Canadian counterpart, we handle destination clearance coordination, drayage, delivery and pre-alerts on your house bills.
Our online services
Every file is handled by a named coordinator who sends proactive milestone updates rather than leaving you to remember to check a portal. We provide carrier and steamship line tracking references on every booking, pre-alert destination partners with full documentation before arrival, and confirm delivery with POD the same day. Quotes are returned the same business day.
Our value to an overseas partner is the last mile in Toronto. Plenty of Canadian agents can arrange a clearance. Fewer can put their own truck under a container the day it is released, and that is what keeps demurrage and detention off your customer's invoice.
We are deliberately built around the GTA rather than spread thin across the country. CN Brampton and CPKC Vaughan are twenty minutes from our office and we manage the free time clock actively rather than reacting to it.
