I'm a returning driver and I can say...I love my Schuster family...nothing else like it out there...

Great people and good company to work for they will keep you running but don't get much time home

Best otr company PERIOD.

Poor filled out app never heard back,guess ill stay where I'm at ,my truck runs way faster than their 68 mph international at least where I'm at I can set the truck to whatever specifications I want and now runs 90 mph

Great place for O/Os but I have heard mixed reviews from the company drivers and the dispatchers that deal with the company guys when I deal with them it is not a good experience only a few of the company dispatchers have been really nice to me. Company trucks are set at 68 and automatics and 99% of the fleet are international pro stars. They definitely have alot of loads and from talking to company drivers seems like most of them are out 2 or more weeks if u don't live near lemars iowa. Over all a good company to work for

Your driver today On interstate 30 in Arkansas was completely disrespectful steering wheel hold. Was plenty of signs stating accident ahead. Even had flashing arrow. He came flying up through there and decided to start taking my lane when nose of my truck was at his sleeper. Truck number 32013 was very unprofessional

Well you don't get miles .you'll get an junk truck if you have an pet they for get to tell you that .when u applie they care about the Bottom line not you get that load there 1900 miles 3 days ...shop is an joke.

Just had one of their truckers try to get over on top of me. They saw me, I guess they were just tired of waiting in the high traffic. Great job picking them Schuster!

Great maintenence they do not allow saftey issues on their equipment..
People in the shop trailer & tractor are nice to work with as well as the tractor washers who do an excellent job !
The driver lounge is nice & clean with showers & free laundry facilities with a television & lounge chairs to relax.

If there is an issue & drivers request a change it's talk with no action.
Midwest regional dosen't fit the job description here.
Orientation is wonderful but not everything is true.
Drivers are penalized with pay deductions & are held accountable.
Final thoughts
I enjoyed my job here but the issues I delt with made the job more stressful & harder cause team work was nill. I really wanted longevity at this company but it didn't work out . There are definitely postives to this company & not everyone may experience the same issues I had.

So far I really love driving for this company. Great communication with my dispatcher. Everyone is really friendly and helpful.

I understand you can’t control what drivers are going to do behind the wheel but, had 2 instances with one of their drivers, called safety and no follow up. I never call someone in unless it’s absolutely necessary and this was. But, hopefully he doesn’t hurt someone else.

They are the best company to work for they will do their best to keep you happy

I love working here, all jobs are work but at least this job is enjoyable. I get time off when I want to, my dispatch and myself are a team and I’m not pushed into situations that could be dangerous. I would recommend working here if you’re looking for a driving job out of Iowa.

This is a great place to work,they treat you like family and when I say they look after the drivers I mean they do. Great mony and you feel loved. They call you by your name and you feel part of the team. I've driven for quit a few companies and this is the best one. All companies should take note to this one

I have been here for well over a year now and I can honestly say this is the best company I have worked for! Unless I was to go local I don’t see myself going anywhere anytime soon. I have a good relationship with my dispatcher. They run me very hard but legal. .62 cpm at the time of this review, My miles generally range between 2800 to 4000, less on a home week. Pay usually ranges for me from 1200 to 1700 net after taxes, deductions and Insurance (Single). The equipment is well maintained and taken care of. I have only had an issue with a dropped trailer 3 or 4 times in a year and it was usually a quick fix (lights or tires). If you understand HOS and like to run I highly recommend Schuster and if you found this review helpful give me a shout if you decide to come over! -Zach

Been here a while with no issues. Dispatchers run you hard, but legal in my experience. Have a feeling some of these negative reviews stem from people not fully understanding HOS and sitting on duty for 3 hours in a dock instead of splitting, etc.

I average 3000 miles a week, home on time, and haven’t been babysat by any office staff. Not sure what the guy meant by ‘expecting too much out of potential drivers’. Their requirements are to have basic physical capability and be able to chain up and run a truck efficiently. Not sure why people would come to a 48 state reefer company out of NW Iowa and think they’re going to be bopping along I-40 all year on an 8 to 5 day job schedule. If you know how to efficiently work the HOS, work odd schedules at times, and keep the door shut, you can expect 3000+ miles a week.

Talked to Don the owner operator recruiter 3 weeks ago about coming aboard. They must be so busy getting their current drivers loads they don't have time to call you back. The life of a truck driver.

Had a great recruiter. Company itself though holds itself to much too high of expectations for potential drivers. The recruiting process started out simple, and then ended in them clambering through everything in my entire life, family history, etc lol. In the end, I said the heck with it because they obviously expected the world's perfect driver as a new hire, and what they offer will never bring that. Went somewhere else where they were glad to have me, and make way more than what they offered. I only gave 2 stars because the recruiter was legitimate in trying to get me hired, and likely would have if I hadn't just said forget it.

It's a wonderful company to work for

I've been with Schuster since July 22, 2020 and I'm VERY happy driving for them. I've been a trucker since October 1991 and I've been around. I do "Over The Road" for them and they work with me so I feel I'm always moving but not overwhelmed. The equipment need a few trips to the shop "off and on" and now everything is great. Great equipment especially compared to other companies. Like any other place if the previous driver didn't right things up you'll have too. They have large tractor shop, a large trailer shop and a wash bay. They continuously keep the trailers clean every time they come in and they will grab the tractors with your permission to get them clean if your busy and can't take it through the wash bay for yourself. I am from NJ it's not a cheap place to live and I have no complaints about my pay.
Everyone has always been extremely polite all of the time and the boss comes by the driver's lounge and mechanic lounge to make sure personally that each employee can reach out to him any time.

Best company to drive for had to leave for health reasons. I was treated with respect from Cortni nothing negative I found

Very good company, I worked here for a year. They put you in brand new equipment and they take care of their drivers. Great pay also, I never had a problem until they tried to get me to run an overweight load and that’s when our relationship went left. I love the small company feel and Shawn P. Is amazing, I love her.

Always a pleasure to see everybody at the terminal. I wish the Drivers would take a little pride in the facility that Steve Schuster set up. If you see the trash is full take it out. If there's trash on the floor pick it up. The showers are beautiful keep them clean. I take the trash out and wipe off counters. Its takes a village lol. Thank you. Well as a professional driver for 15 yrs, 10 years with Schneider proud and 5 years as owner operator I never ever had any issues with anyone nor my dispatch or my coworker. Today 12/05/20 around 1731 in Atlanta GA a schuster truck #3924 past me I was driving on the left lane and Schuster truck past me on the right lane, as soon as he past me he took the left. Unluckily the left lane will merge to the right lane so a FedEx truck let him went thru the right lane, I thought he will let me go, so instantaneously he drove on both lane therefore I can’t past him so I wait until he drove on full lane so I can past him and he refused so I drove closely to the left lane I even hits many construction barrels when he saw me I will past him, he tried to get back on the left lane to block me what a guy he almost hit my truck. Those kind of bad behavior not acceptable as a trucker because we’re there to do the same job and it’s challenging. Please talk to this guy to behave like a human I have family to take care off and I believe he has family too, everyday I prayed God to kept me alive on the road because I saw to many dead bodies to many bad accident. I knew Schuster not a bad company please talk to this guy his truck number 3924. Thank you

Good company...This a great place to work at and a company that will stand up for their drivers and will give there drivers a chance.

Not perfect but a very good employer. Was on my 3rd year there when i was forced to retire due to an injury. I would have stayed much longer had I not been injured.

Will run you past your hours and expect it.. then safety will fine you.. a no win situation. Wont honor your home time. IF they even try to give you time off. . Bad. Bad company.

I’m not one to do reviews, one thing I can say about this company is they are awesome. I have no complaints just that you have to be ready for the 3 weeks out and 3 days home.

I've worked here for about a month now, they've got the best equipment of any company I've worked for. You can tell the tractors are well kept, the trailers are high end and reliable and the respect from dispatch that drivers get is top notch too. I would recommend any long haul driver looking for a new gig to consider Schuster. I plan to stay for many years, I wish I had found this place a couple years ago.

Not sure why are the bad reviews. Probably from the driver not doing his/her job correctly. I worked their 2 different times. Never had any problems. Made plenty of money. I was getting 2800 to 3000 miles a week. They take good care of their trucks. Office and shop staff were always nice to me. It's just this simple, get hired on with a company, do your part and they will treat you well.
