Had a driver almost hit me today truck 20902 call safety and no answer try again same thing you have horrible drivers on the road and yall refuse to answer your phone that's OK I called highway patrol and reported them enjoy the experience with Iowa dot

I left Heyl over two years ago, but it was the best company I've worked long haul for. Texas Regional with some runs to Florida.
Great DM, good hometime, and the company would go out of the way to work with you on time off and miles. I would consider returning but my current location isn't a good match.

Good brokerage company

I worked for Heyl for 3 months and it wasn't the company for me. I had issues with my truck from day 1 of being in it. I didn't like the camera staring at me. I didn't like being micro-managed and being told how to run a logbook. I also didn't like the fact that in the 3 months I was out there I was constantly running on recap hrs. I got only one 34 hr reset (Besides hometime) while I was there.

Now for the good things I have to say about Heyl. Heyl has the miles to keep you busy and making descent money. They have local, regional, dedicated and OTR. Most of the office staff I dealt with were straight forward, but friendly.

Good company but they don't pay that much

Been with them for two years, and this is the best company I've worked for. I feel valued and respected as a driver, something that is unfortunately so hard to find. I'm still young in my career, but my current long term goal is to retire here.

Great place to work

Great start to work for a trucking company. Local hauling with a relatively new truck. I am happy I was accepted as a driver here.

Worst Company to try to apply for. Will get your hopes going then decline your application and they try to claim to be a family oriented company, YEAH RIGHT!!!!!

Awesome company

My current employer and has been for over 10 years. I have my little dog with me in the truck. Get a new truck every few years. Love that my driver manager likes & remembers me, laughs easily and is very competent. Love that every truck has on-board elog & cameras, gps, satellite radio, apu, big winter rated bunks and that they only go to about 500,000 miles before trade in. Heyl has several shops they own with lots of competent mechanics plus a mechanic you can call if you have mechanical problems during business hours. Heyl is the best employer I’ve ever worked for!

Haven't worked here long but it's definitely a great company to work for. The managers and office personnel go above and beyond to take care of their people and keep you rolling. Best decision I made to change over to this company.
