Same experience as everyone else. An order through home depot took an additional 2 weeks to pick up after the item became available. Then the shipment became lost. Its now a month after the expected delivery date and they can't tell me what the problem is, or where my shipment is.

Ordered a snow blower online from Home Depot Canada on Dec. 27, with a "expected delivery date of Dec. 31". This company knew about delivery (EDI - electronic delivery invoice?) on Dec. 28, picked it up in Calgary on Dec. 29 at 12:46 PM but didn't dispatch it until Dec. 30 at 6:40 PM. So it probably arrived at their Kelowna BC depot on the morning of Dec. 31. Talked to management at their NB head office on Jan. 5 and was advised that Kelowna had 28 trucks backed up in their Kelowna depot. They apparently have absolutely no idea where my order stands within this backlog. Their online tracking continues to show the Dec. 31 "expected delivery" date. What do you think? Are they likely to make the expected date? Why would they continue to accept shipments to Kelowna when they are this far behind? Of course we've had more than the normal snowfall since this item has been sitting in their depot. Weather turning nicer so not sure if I will even be able to use the snow blower this season.

I cannot believe how bad the experience of dealing with these people has been. We ordered products from Home Depot, who hired Day and Ross to deliver. First, they called claiming that the had called the week before (they had not). Our PBX tracks every incoming call, whether it connects or not... so... "Strike 1." Then, they call in the afternoon one day, to say they are delivering the next day. We arranged for staff to be on hand to receive the order; hey never came; "Strike 2." Then, they finally showed up, about a week later, after having given us a RIDICULOUS delivery window of "8am to 6pm." Really? Again, we bring in staff to receive. The driver calls to try to deliver a pallet at the front of our property, where there is nowhere to receive. We direct him to the back alley, where we can receive. He was driving a standard 5 ton box truck. Nothing special. He did not want to do it, and, never tried. He said he could not go down the alley. I believe what he meant was, he did not have the necessary skill to drive it down the alley. We have our own box truck; it fits just fine. Waste Management can get their huge crane trucks for Bagsters down the alley. Home Depot themselves have had deck trucks down the alley.... nobody has even had a problem, until Day and Ross. So, what do they do... drive away with the order. I get on the phone to call them, and speak to customer service. they tell me they will arrange for it to come back that same afternoon; to please call back in 30 minutes. I do. They then tell me there is no way it is coming back. In my opinion, this is the WORST experience I have ever had with a freight company, by a long shot. They suck. AVOID THEM!!!

Very slow delivery. I kept tracking the items and it was in Calgary for about 3 days without any update. I eventually called their Customer service and was told the item had been moved to their partner. The partner in Lethbridge that got in touch with me was extremely rude and dropped the phone on me twice. He asked me to stay at home all day to expect the delivery. I asked him for a 3 hour window and for a call shortly before delivery but he told me that was unrealistic. I have had things delivered to me several times before but never had this kind of poor service. Very dissatisfied.

Horrendous company to deal with. lost 7 of 9 shipments, made excuse after excuse all the way down the chain INCLUDING President of the company Bill (William) Doherty. Cost our company thousands in extra costs due to delays, split shipments halfway through and incorrect invoicing. When brought to the attention of management i was told that they "respectfully decline liability" We have spent in excess of $13,000.00 (before taxes) since January this year and were told that we should take our business elsewhere by the President of the company himself. if i could give negative stars I would. I have all documentation and email correspondence verifying my attempts to work together for a solution only to be told "its time to part ways" over them not willing to split the cost of their inadequacies. So essentially they said we dont care to a company who spends minimum $50,000 per year on domestic shipping solely because they weren't willing to split the cost ($690) of the direct financial loss we took due to their mistakes.

they abuse brokers. Always long waiting times at terminals and no pay for waiting times. they request you to go somewhere and guarantee that there are lots of loads there. so you would not wait for a load, but when u got there you wait for hours to get a load. Totally unorganized.
