Now celebrating 80 years of supporting manufacturing supply chains by handling and moving freight, AV Dawson’s Port of Middlesbrough operates from a 40 hectares port on Riverside Park, Middlesbrough.
Ideally positioned on the River Tees in North East England, The Port of Middlesbrough provides multimodal logistics solutions across a number of sectors including energy and renewables, construction, agriculture, automotive and waste.

As the only port in the region with heavy and high access, the facility also boasts deep-water berths and an onsite ships agency. With four market-specific rail terminals linked to the East Coast Mainline via Middlesbrough Goods Yard, it is one of the most flexible rail freight facilities in the North of England.

Port of Middlesbrough is also home to one of the closest off dock intermodal parks to Teesport, able to support all of your intermodal needs. These services are supported by an extensive road haulage fleet, including 44 tonne articulated trucks and over 200 trailers suitable for transporting a wide range of cargo types, including dry bulk goods, automotive metals, and containers.

The port also has extensive warehouse and storage options, including on and off port warehousing, specialist automotive metals storage, lay down areas and 42-metre-high fabrication halls, ideal for large fabrication projects.

As its number one value, safety is at the forefront of everything the company does. The company has also committed to set a standard to protect the environment in which it operates and holds ISO9001 Quality and 14001 Environmental standards
